Our Approach to Therapy

Meet Your Therapists

Cecilia Herrera Leggett, LCSW  

Cecilia is the co-founder of La Vida Fearless Counseling and brings nearly two decades of experience to her work. Her personal experiences with loss, anxiety, depression, and cultural transition allow her to connect with clients on a deeply human level. Cecilia works with clients selectively in the areas of grief, sexual abuse recovery, PTSD, and complex emotional experiences.

Michael Madsen, LMFT

Our team also includes Michael, a trusted licensed therapist who leads the majority of our weekly counseling sessions. Michael specializes in individual therapy as well as couples and family counseling, offering a calm and compassionate presence that helps clients feel at ease.

We offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, depending on your location and preferences. During your first appointment, we’ll get to know you, understand what brings you in, and begin developing a plan that aligns with your goals and pace.
