Meet the Heart Behind Our Counseling
Led by bilingual, bicultural therapist Cecilia Herrera Leggett, La Vida Fearless Counseling provides expert psychosocial evaluations and counseling services grounded in compassion, professionalism, and lived experience.
About Cecilia Herrera Leggett, LCSW
Cecilia Herrera Leggett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience in mental health, specializing in psychosocial evaluations and trauma-informed counseling. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, she understands the unique challenges faced by immigrants, first-generation individuals, and families balancing multiple cultures.
Born and raised in Mexico, Cecilia moved to the United States at age 18. Her personal journey — as an undocumented immigrant, a widow, a caregiver, and a mental health advocate — has shaped the heart-centered approach she brings to her clients. Her lived experiences with grief, anxiety, and depression have become the foundation for the safe, nonjudgmental space she creates in her practice.
Cecilia’s specialties include:
Psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases
Grief and loss
Anxiety, depression, and stress
PTSD and complex life experiences
Childhood sexual abuse and trauma recovery
Family and relationship dynamics
Her approach integrates evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychotherapy — always personalized to meet each client where they are.
Our Philosophy
We believe in honest, culturally competent mental health care that makes people feel understood — not labeled. As a bicultural family-owned practice, we’re deeply committed to reducing stigma around therapy, especially within immigrant and Spanish-speaking communities. Every session, every report, and every conversation is handled with integrity, empathy, and the belief that your story matters.

Silvia Muñoz, Client Care Coordinator
Silvia Muñoz is the Client Care Coordinator at La Vida Fearless Counseling, where she provides essential support to clients by answering calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with administrative needs. Originally from Mexico, Silvia is an immigrant herself and understands the importance of compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity in every interaction.
